Clay is unlike any other medium. It doesn’t just appear; it evolves, formed by the growth of this world, a storehouse for the life that has preceded it. The fossils become metaphors of mortality. During fossil expeditions I am inspired by the images, patterns, and textures I discover, all created through the forces of nature. These elements come alive in my work to remind us that we are only transient residents in this ever-changing world.
